QPR - Sunday 28th April - Barclays Premier League

Venue: Madejski Stadium (13:30 KO)

Officials: Referee - Kevin Friend, Assistants - A Halliday & L Betts, Fourth Official - L  Probert

Previous Meeting: QPR 1-1 Reading (Loftus Road)

Reading Current Form: LDLLLL

QPR Current Form: LLDLLW

Some might say that it is a bit of a lost cause for both teams, but both Managers will think differently, while Adkins is saying that Reading must win their next 4 games for any chance of staying up and refusing to give up, Redknapp on the other hand has almost conceded relegation back down to the N-Power Championship, But Redknapp would still very much fancy his star-studded QPR side to beat the Royals, whoever wins on Sunday would automatically relegate the other which could give more incentive to both sides, there is no doubt that it will be a gloomy atmosphere as both sets of fans hopes of staying up are slowly decreasing by the week, Although it has been known for some time that these two clubs would go down, but you try and tell that to a Loyal Royal!

Nigel Adkins in action Vs Southampton
Reading have been in poor form of late but since the arrival of Nigel Adkins you can see the team progressing and starting to play the Adkins way, this has pleased many Royals as many believed that McDermott's style of play was old-fashioned and more suited to the Championship rather than the Premier League, perhaps that's where we have gone wrong this season? That and the lack of spending in the two transfer markets. We have simply been outclassed by most teams this season and have never really found a rhythm in any of our games, But i feel this may change on Sunday, i think Adkins is starting to get his point across to the players, i believe that we will play how the Gaffer wants us too on Sunday with plenty of passing and plenty of opportunities , Although i feel that it may be one step to many for survival i do believe that we can bag the three points on Sunday and finish above QPR.

QPR Threats

Townsend for QPR
Obviously with the spending they made in the Summer and January they have many threats and cause problems all over the field, One of their main threats its obviously the French striker Loic Remy, signed from Marseille for a then record fee of £8m (Later broken by the signing of Chris Samba from Anzhi for £12.5m) The French striker has netted 5 times since his arrival to Loftus road and is a clear threat that may be too much for the Royal defence, The Frenchman is a very quick player and can beat a man and has shown in previous games how good of a shot he has on him. Another threat i believe is Andros Townsend who i believe is massively underrated and has been undeservedly left out of the Spurs team on a frequent basis, he has showed just how good he is at QPR and has bagged a few aswell, one of them a 25 yard screamer! the Royals are going to have to be really tight and professional on Sunday and play how Adkins wants us too and make good opportunities (and score them!)

My Prediction

I believe that we will get the three points on Sunday, although QPR's squad is much more equipped then ours i believe we are more of a team and know how to play like a team, and i think this will be vital on Sunday as its going to take nerve! i think it will be 2-1 to the Royals!

So be loud, be proud, back the boys and make some noise!
COME ON URZZZZZ!
